Can Physical Therapists Refer Patients for Imaging?

A physical therapist licensee and the Maine Chapter APTA (“MEAPTA”) recently asked the Board of Examiners in Physical Therapy (“BOEPT”) whether it is in the PT’s scope of practice to refer a patient for imaging studies. To see the full announcement, see the attached letter.
